1. Who we are
PackPark (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates packpark.app, a progressive web app that helps dog owners find friends at local dog parks. Our contact email is hello@packpark.app.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated by your use of the app:
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and photo.
- Profile information: your display name and dog profiles you create (name, breed, size, temperament, photo).
- Park activity: the parks you favorite and check-in records (park, timestamp, estimated duration). Check-in data is visible to your friends while active and expires automatically.
- Social connections: friend relationships you form within the app.
- Push notification tokens: a device token stored when you opt in to push notifications, used only to deliver alerts you’ve enabled.
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the core service: showing who is at your dog park in real time.
- To send push notifications you have explicitly opted into (arrival alerts, friend activity).
- To maintain your account and authenticate you securely.
- To improve the app and diagnose technical issues.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third-party services
PackPark uses the following third-party providers:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored in Supabase’s infrastructure.
- Google OAuth — optional sign-in with your Google account.
- OneSignal — push notification delivery. Your notification token is shared with OneSignal solely to deliver alerts.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
5. Data retention
Active account data is retained as long as your account exists. Check-in records expire automatically after your session ends. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@packpark.app.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may withdraw consent for push notifications at any time in your device settings. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@packpark.app.
7. Children
PackPark is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
